PSX: Positive Trend on the Last Day of the Year, Over 900 Points Gain

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a positive trend on the last day of 2024, with business activity starting on a strong note.
On the final day of the year and the second trading day of the week, the 100 Index saw an impressive increase of 970 points. However, after the initial positive trend, the index turned negative, eventually dropping by 414 points to settle at 114,844.
It is worth noting that the stock exchange experienced remarkable growth in the previous session as well, with the 100 Index recording a surge of over 3,907 points.
The fluctuations in the market reflect both investor confidence and the volatility often seen during the closing days of the trading year.
