Global Conference on Girls' Education Begins in Islamabad
A groundbreaking two-day global conference focusing on girls' education in Muslim societies has begun in Islamabad. Representatives from 23 countries, including ministers, education experts, and Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, are attending.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during his speech, stated:
"According to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), education is mandatory for both men and women. Denying girls education is like denying them the light of hope and progress."
He highlighted that 22.8 million children in Pakistan are out of school, with the majority being girls. He urged international organizations and philanthropists to contribute towards improving girls' access to education.
Islamabad Declaration
At the end of the conference, the Islamabad Declaration will be issued, emphasizing the importance of education for girls and addressing global educational challenges.
